A FLASH OF GOLD

Walking around the studio.

A flash of light caught his attention, reflected by the gold leaf.

Cheekily, I suggested he could have a picture of his home. 

HOW DID YOU KNOW?

A few months later. 

On seeing the finished artwork, he went quiet. 

He spent a long time looking at it. 

As Rory turned around, I noticed a tear rolling down his cheek.

"How did you know? … It was my father's last creation before he passed away."

To this day, that picture hangs in his study.
